Core Drilling for Industrial Plants and Commercial Job Sites
Pipe penetrations, conduit runs, anchor bolts, structural cores. We drill to spec, on schedule, and we don't guess at the rebar.
We were hired to core out some concrete for a local Shreveport - Bossier Termite Contractor for a local car dealership. Without our coring equipment, they would not have the ability to put in termite traps around the huge complex. We drilled about 75 holes in less than a day. In and out! At Edge, as well as the rest of The Home Team, we love what we do. We work hard. We play hard. And it takes a great team to be as efficient, and as fun as we are. We love what we get to do.
A core hole is either round, straight, and in the right spot, or it's a problem for every trade that comes after you.
Core drilling looks simple from the outside. It isn't, not when you're going through a foundation with unknown reinforcement, or drilling twenty holes on a schedule where the next trade is staged and waiting. Edge Concrete Cutting runs core drilling on industrial plants and commercial job sites across East Texas, North Louisiana, and South Arkansas, same crew and equipment we bring to wire saw and shutdown work.
We drill for plant maintenance teams putting in new pipe runs, GCs who need penetrations before the next trade shows up, and contractors who found out mid-project that a hole needs to go exactly where the drawings say and nowhere else. Small diameter, large diameter, straight down or at an angle. Tell us the spec and we'll hit it.
What We Drill
-
Anchor bolts, utility penetrations, electrical conduit, plumbing runs. The bread and butter of a job site that needs holes drilled clean and fast.
-
HVAC penetrations, mechanical equipment mounts, structural openings. We run the equipment that handles bigger bores without wandering off center.
-
Wet coring for most concrete and masonry work, dust controlled and the bit stays cool. Dry coring where water isn't an option, inside a facility that can't have it running across the floor.
-
Rebar in the path doesn't stop the bit. We core through reinforced sections without walking off line or splitting the surrounding concrete.
-
Not every hole goes straight down. We drill at the angle the job calls for, walls included.
-
Engineers need a clean sample to test the concrete, not a cracked mess around the edges. We pull cores for testing and inspection without disturbing what's around them.
-
New pipe runs, equipment mounts, and structural modifications during a scheduled shutdown. We work the window you give us and get out of the way when it's done.
We Show Up When We Say We Will
A GC staging three trades behind your core holes doesn't have room for a contractor who's running late. We build our schedule so we don't become the bottleneck.
Why Job Sites Call Edge for Core Drilling
Four Decades of Industrialand Commercial Job Sites
Plant shutdowns, active construction sites, occupied buildings. We've drilled in all of it long enough that nothing surprises us anymore.
We Handle the Reinforcement
Rebar, post-tension cable, embedded conduit, we know what to look for before the bit ever touches concrete. Fewer surprises, fewer stopped jobs.
Licensed and Local
Louisiana Contractor License #27684. Based in Keithville, Louisiana, running jobs across East Texas, North Louisiana, and South Arkansas as a normal part of the week.
Where We've Done It
The facilities that call us have reinforced sections, tight access, and surrounding structure that can't be touched. Here's what that looks like when we show up:
National Paper Mill — Mansfield, LA
Full plant turnaround. Multiple wire saw cut points running on the shutdown schedule. Every one cleared on time. The plant came back up when it was supposed to.
That's the job. That's how we run it.
Plant Shutdowns — East Texas & North Louisiana
We've supported scheduled and emergency shutdowns at manufacturing plants and processing facilities across the region. When the cutting is inside an active facility, the timeline is non-negotiable, and there's no room for a second try — that's where we work best.
GC's, Industrial Contractors & Municipalities
We cut for general contractors, industrial maintenance firms, and public works departments throughout the region. Forty years of that across North Louisiana and East Texas. If you've had significant concrete work done in the region, there's a real chance our crew was on that job.
What GCs and Plant Managers Ask
-
Depends on the material and depth, but we run equipment built for large diameter industrial work, not just anchor-bolt-sized holes. Call with the spec and we'll tell you straight whether it's in range.
-
Yes. Reinforced concrete is routine for us. We know what to look for and how to drill through it without walking off line.
-
Both. Wet coring for most jobs, dry coring when water isn't an option inside an active facility. We bring the right setup for the site.
-
es, including horizontal coring through walls. Tell us the geometry and we'll tell you what it takes.
-
Depends on scope and location, but we run regularly across East Texas, North Louisiana, and South Arkansas, so we're rarely a special trip. Call with the job and we'll give you a straight timeline.
-
Depends on diameter, depth, material, quantity, and access. We price by the job. Call with the scope and we'll get you an actual number, not a ballpark.
-
That's most of what we do. Tell us the window and we'll build the drilling schedule around it.
-
Yes. We pull clean samples without disturbing the surrounding concrete, exactly what an engineer needs for testing.
